THE PROJECT

After a thoughtful and sympathetic renovation, the owner of this Victorian industrial style cottage in St Albans listed it for sale but it was attracting little interests due to the open plan and small rooms.

The main feedback was that it lacked a dining space, and the small box room couldn’t possibly fit a bed. We re-positioned the sofa to zone-in the lounge area and created a cosy dining corner without blocking the access into the kitchen. We also furnished the small box room with a single bed and a desk, turning it into a functional second bedroom which doubles as a study.
