Bedroom Styling
Case Study
-
These are two apartments which we designed in a high end development along the Thames. Both of the apartments were previously tenanted.
The bedrooms had plain white walls and beige carpets typical of rental properties. We wanted to add depth and warmth to the rooms and make them look stylish and sophisticated.

Choosing the right tones of colours can transform the look of a room. For a warm and cosy bedroom, choose deeper shades of the colours you are using, and add different textures to the soft furnishings eg velvet headboard, boucle cushions, wool throws, linen blankets.
Adding some gold details in the accessories will always bring a touch of luxury to the room.
Lighting not only sets the mood in a room, but choosing lamps of the right scale to match the headboard and ceiling heights would make it look more considered and balanced.

A room can have rich colours and still look cosy and luxurious, as long as the colours are in the right shades and colour tones.
In these projects, we used rust coloured cushions and throws, and contrasted them with deep moody blues. Even though strong colours were used, the overall schemes felt balanced and warm.

Simple artwork, photo frames, candles and artificial plants are effective accessories to use for styling a bedroom.
In these projects, we have chosen botanical themed artworks to bring a hint of nature into the apartments, as both bedrooms only have views of the concrete block of apartments opposite.
